... because there is so much we still don't know about...
---
This was done for an anonymous client, who writes a book and I had the honour to design this creature for him. I can't say much about it, but they are highly developed, godlike beings living in the deep sea.

Really good ... it makes you wonder what our world might or could have been like. It combines creativity with beauty and mystery. How the colors flow into eachother too is verry good, from a light top to a dark bottom. The colors give a scence of light as well as space. A real good 3D work too. It gives a magical feelin but the picture can be real. For you might be right ... this may be an "undiscovered world". Try to consider making your own WORLD filled with the wonder thats in this picture. This can change a worlds veiw of what they think they know, and if this can change so much, just immagine a world like this oneut there veiwed by millions.
Instead of seeing a sea dragon, the first time that I looked upon this work, I thought, "What an odd looking submarine..." In any case, I quite like the details put into the dragon: oversized horns, sail-like fins, and glowing spots like one would expect from deep-sea creatures. The details particularly on the serpent's face are very eye-catching. The little whisker-like appendages remind me of those of lobsters. The little realistic sea creatures are a nice touch and add to the atmosphere since they also match the style of the dragon while seeming so tangible.
While the dragon is large, I think that some blurring of the more distant parts would really have emphasised its scale. Still the lighting does play its part in this manner.

Excellent work!
