Firstly, I love the concept of this piece. It's in depth and stunning in it's execution. From the zoomed out view it's absolutely prefect. The colors and darkness all work really well together. The angel fish (I think that's what they are anyway) are lovely, I would like to see one of them toward the bottom though, to take the red through the entire composition, maybe behind her tail coming from between the eels tails.
As it is the red draws all the attention to the top of the piece which combined with the heavy detail, makes the piece just slightly top heavy, the patterns on the eels bodies/tails are great and as it is they're kind of lost when the view just gets a faint impression of the coils before they jump to the top of the piece.
In the close up view, the scale patterns are even more amazing, as well as the scales/makeup around Ariel's eyes. But the eyes are just a shade off. I think they're too big by a hair, but it's hard to say for sure.
Also, the eel on the far left, looking up toward Ariel, you wouldn't see both eyes. There's a similar problem with the one on the far right but it's not as noticeable or necessary to change since her arm is behind it and the effect isn't as dramatic as the one against the dark blue.
And this is just me but at the very end of her tail I kinda want to see the start of her fins, it can't taper much more and I want to see a good base for her fins to attach to.
Otherwise this is a beautiful piece. I had to really look and examine it before I could find anything to critique, but a critique wouldn't be the same without something to fix and everyone can improve. You're really talented and I'll be sure to watch you to see more of your stunning work in the future.
wow... just...wow words can not describe the impact this put on me. i really do love this, the texture is amazing, i also love the eels, they remind me of demonic fish, which i have a feeling they are. but anyways, the scales are amazing, she's so beautiful yet horrifying, like a siren, she gets your attention, then kills with more then just her beauty, she's simply gorgeous, no words can explain how amazing this image is, i just, i can't stop looking at it, your gallery is fascinating and you, your talent is by far one of the best, five stars by far my friend, i hope to someday be half as good of an artist as you, i have been drawing for a long time but i still have much to learn, i look forward to seeing more picture's like this, simply amazing Jonas, simply amazing.
