Dreams and Doubts... by sanguisGelidus Dreams and Doubts... by sanguisGelidus
... it's the everlasting fight in our head.

This was drawn with watercolors and fineliners. I am not an expert in watercolor painting, it's my second attempt, I hope you like it though! :) It was drawn at my sister's :iconpixiecold: home with her watercolors from Schmincke! :)

My first attempt: "Society"

(I think it's kinda funny, how different my traditional style is to my digital style! ^^ Much more abstract..)

-- Favs, critiques and comments are highlyy appreciated!!  --

This is absolutely beautiful. One thing though, the feathery collar things around the neck might look better if the edges weren't so jagged, and if the colours faded out softer or per say, blurred on the edges instead of having a dark line separating it. Other than that, it is absolutely gorgeous. You only need to work on the blending. Which I could imagine is very hard to do with watercolours. If I am correct, which I may or may not be, this is about the dark and the good side of a person? Please, continue your magnificent Works, sire.

I've got to say, this is killer. I adore the way you traced where the water color left splotches/fades, plus the tracing of the wings gives them a stained glass look. The birds are a cool touch and their implied movement is easily seen, they look like combinations of many things. The cool and warm colors being trailed by the birds help show the difference in the person at the bottom, how one side is like a different identity than the other. It's like the eyes of different people are staring up, not looking at you but you can meet their gaze.
This is just a great work of art; it's pretty shocking that it’s your second water color. I'm no real artist or critic to give advice, so I'll just say that this is a bit much for a tattoo. Your friend should expect a long waiting time and plenty of soreness and maybe ink poisoning!
Probably the tattoo artist's arm is going to fall off.

Don't put yourself down, this is amazing.

I've attempted water colours so many times and I'm not able to get anywhere near as good as you!
