Yesterday I watched "Cloud Atlas" in cinema and that movie really made me think about life. I haven't seen such an emotional and deepgoing movie in my whole life. This is the result of all the time I spent thinking about life, it's some kind of experiment, something new for me.

I could write so much about this, so many thoughts are in my head. But I rather want to leave it up to you, you could write a comment with your opinion about the topic! I would love to read it! And also if you watched the movie and what you think about it!

I hope you like this and see all the emotions and personal experiences, that went into this!

Every fav/comment etc. means so much to me! If you would support me and get others to see this, it would mean the world!! You can even share this on facebook, twitter, tumblr or wherever, but please credit me if you do! :)

That just amazing !
Your interpretation of the life by differents pictures and words is really perfect.
The pictures colors' here are a really excellent choice.
The colors match well and you have chosen the perfect contrast and tint.
And you made an amazing transition between the pictures.
Maybe that need of a very very small work on the dark background!
Maybe more colors ... but we don't care cause it's already perfect
That looks very stunning and attracting.
I would, and have never expected anyone's deviations to look this way before!
I think you can submit it in the Daily Deviation.

Well first of all I don't usually give all stars of everything, but this is just perfect. And I totally agree to this, because I often thought about life itself. So well, let me explain why I gave you five stars on every points. First of all the vision behind this is so great, it streches further and any of us can imagine, because Life is life. Including the concept of Ying and Yang just made it very special. I also think that it is very original, well at least showing it in a picture like this is, although the concept itself is widely known in most of today's cultures. So well here you have five stars in originality ^_^
The Technique you used is amazing, the choices you made underline the concept very well, for example the very common and simple script, then adding the little glowing effect. :)
After hearing the song and reading through this again, I felt like it is very true and I had a great impact on me, and I feel like it has a very great impact on a lot of people.

I don't really think here is a lot to critique, so I thought you will atleast appreciate a lot of good feedback.
This is truly perfect in many ways. Thank you for sharing.

(Excuse my bad english please, I am sick and am originally german :XD: )

I loooove this piece!
For myself, I've learned to appreciate everything more in my hardships - even though I'd wish I wouldn't have to go through them, they have made me (almost too) wise and strong...
I'm supposed to think about make up and a boyfriend and dresses. Instead, I'm always reflecting on the meaning of life and everything big and deep. It's ABNORMAL for a 14 year old girl :P
Anyways, thanks. I've needed this ^^

Thank you for this... it means there really is a point to everything that has, or rather hasn't, been happening in my life... it means that hopefully I have something to look forward to, eventually...

How great is this?! :D
I watched this film too and I think the same as you. I've never seen such a film before, it's too overwhelming and touching. At the end I couldn't even stop crying.... I loved the couple Sonmi and Hae-Choo. And the whole thing about that everything we do and how we act is somehow connected with the future made me very thoughtful too. But honestly, I didn't really get how the 6 storylined are connected so I just bought the book and I hope the lecture will be even more fascinating and will convey the message better. The film was great, but I think the novel is going to be more exciting ;)

And what you created is very touching too, I really like it, the fact that everything can only exist with the other side.

If I was a completely delusional and brainless :brainless: moron, I'd say this would be a horrible piece...

Thankfully I'd like to think I am not, and with that, I gotta say, the amount of hope and power this piece gives off, while keeping everything realistic, is enormous.

Everything in this work blends together so well, it's like it's telling a narrative, a wonderful story about what everyone will go through, at some point or another, in their lives. The would-be person (you or anyone else) begins to contemplate how shit life seems to be; for its' cruelty, lack of fairness and worth, and the excessive challenge to it without the valuable rewards we've come to expect from taking on such a task.

But in truth, life, as you say, is all about balance: good and bad, spring and winter, war and peace and so on. They all support the logical message that, if life is full of these forces that keep the world in equilibrium (in balance), then it stands to reason that, for all of your suffering, there will always be this massive peak you will come to experience, whether it happens sooner or later.

I'll just say this in conclusion: this piece is totally amazing, and for that, it deserves a spot in my Favourites. Well done! =)

This is so beautiful!
For so many reasons!
1st, the art itself is amazing! Perfect use of stock and the transition between them is seamless and utterly perfect, as if they were made for it :)
However, the message this peice conveys is...I cant even describe it. True? Honest? A perfect blend of humanity, hope and humility.

Then... The ones that suffer the most, their peaks are going to be so high they'll suffocate of the lack of oxygen and freeze to death from the bitter cold :noes:
It got me terrified. I know that wasn't the message behind the artwork, but my first thought was one I wrote above- and it really horrified me :| The artwork is really stunning, though

If in an afterlife, maybe, we don't know, but if we are talking about life... no.

Sorry, but I can't believe in it - so much people had lackluster (I hope I chose good word) life, where is more suffer than happiness, they tried to be good people, worked hard, cared for other people and they just died in some terrible illness or alone (can be both). They haven't got any adequate reward. Okay, some happy moments. But what it is when you compare it to some people, what have luck, do immoral things to get succeed, have money for medical care... and they just live happily.
Or what to say about these children, who are born only to die after few years?

If what you are reffering to are those who tend to use bad methods and ends to suceed, while those who are honest recieve no reward, no credit, no gain, no recognition or resepct for they have they done, then yes, it is lackluster. And perhaps some die alone. And perhaps they die of illness. My own grandmother died of lung cancer two years ago. A friend just lost his own mother a few weeks ago. He's 18. Is it fair? No. Is it right? Is what should have happened? I can't say, it's beyond me to judge that.

If it looks like those people who are immoral to succeed look happy, are they happy? Do they feel no regret, no guilt, a soul-wrenching pain that wakes them in the night as they're covered with sweat? To say the wicked who look like they're having fun is a lie to me. I've never heard of bad people(unless they turn around and become good) being happy pleasent, much less seeing this:

What the artist means to convey is "Without Joy, we would not know of Pain. Without Suffering, we would not know what Hope is."

The peak you ask of is the fact that, no matter how tough things may get, no matter how hard the wind blows, and no matter how far you think you can fall...

Everything will turn out for the better.

If you're still confused, send a note. We can talk it over in private, if you wish.

You know late last night my friend told me that she was contemplating suicide, and all I could think about was what my life would be like without her. I cant begin to tell you how I felt, it just felt like nothing I said was working, she felt as though nobody would miss her and how horribly alone she feels and I just felt sort of helpless. and then I felt anger. I was angry that she would even consider it and told her how I'd feel if she was gone. It was so draining afterwards but we finally got to change the subject and she was so much better afterwards. I cant even put into words what that was like. I told her that it gets better and that I've been there too but I worry about her,. and wonder if she'll still be here after Christmas. :(

I told her that she's stronger than she thinks and that she's already survived something terrible. I just don't want to have to go through that again if I can help it, but I know that if worse comes to worse I will everything in my power to help her, even if it means betraying her trust to save her from this. I just hope she chooses life and that I wont have to worry about this after the season is over. I'm sorry that I spilled all of this on the web.

There are rules in life that work for everyone except a few. And, as life insists, I'm afraid that for rules such as this one I'm part of the few.
I guess when you reject the worse aspects of life, you have to renounce to the best ones as well, for a fair game.
Whoever made the world sure is sadistic. Or dead and usurped.

I agree with you last point. Think about it this way, you can't have unicorns without dementors. Now, the dementors are obviously more prominent and have a greater affect, but the unicorn's are always there in the end.
