This is absolutely the most beautiful and neatly made piece of artwork I've seen.~
Reminds me of the northern lights, And the way the antlers smooth off into the lights without messing up the realistic part of the artwork. The tail works with the same type of fading.
I cant see anything wrong with this piece of art, legs are looking fabulous!~
The colors are perfect, setting the mood that it's night (without help from the moon or blackness)
Needless to say that this is probably what all artists strive for, or at least me.~

First off, let me just say that I love this piece. This is also my first official critique and I hope it suits.

I love the different shades of blues and purples you used; it definitely adds to the spacial-realism concept (that I think you are aiming at) very well. It creates depth and a wonderful sense of fading away at the edges, making the transition smoother. Your color palette is bright; very bright. I'd like to see some darker tones around the belly, rump, back, neck, and antlers. While beautiful to look at, I find my gaze swiftly moving on to darker areas of the canvas because of the level of brightness on the left-hand side. I also noticed the shadows by the buck's hooves are not connected and creating a full shadow; I only see one light source, so the shadow should be more "whole", since the disconnection indicates otherwise.
I love the color palette besides, it doesn't seem to need any extra colors thrown in!

Originality is a bit harder to comment on, since I'm sure more than one person has thought of spectral creatures, deer no exception. The fact that you managed to capture the idea, as well as throwing in your own style and extra bits (such as the aurora borealis) pulls it all together well and makes it your own. I feel like maybe somewhere around the belly and rump area though, including the legs, should be translucent. Other spectral beings aren't shown completely solid like this buck here, even though his hocks and pasterns (assuming a deer's body parts aren't labeled the same as horses, otherwise known as the area above his hooves) aren't solid like the rest of his body. That would add a more spirit-like feel... But it might also take some of the originality out of the piece. Hence why it's hard to comment on.
Overall, it's original in its own very lovely way.

Not much to comment on technique, I personally find no quirks in it besides what I listed above!

The impact of the overall piece is astounding. Wonderful movement, and it makes me regret that I didn't wait to buy this as a full canvas to hang in my young cousin's room (instead I bought a small photo of the deer in your 'More by me' list in the artist' comments). Maybe in the future. I would definitely hang this on my wall to guard me from nightmares... Maybe the brightness of the piece would be best on a printed canvas, since the computer screen is bright in itself and can cause pained vision... Well done!

I love it and I might end up buying a framed canvas of it or maybe "Take me to Eternity" but I have to figure out a way to hang a Picture without damaging the the wall or marking the paint because I'm rented house, I've already got a 76x114cm framed canvas and once I find a way to hang it I'll be back to buy. :)
