Watch me playing the piano! (Stay by Rihanna) :DHeey people! :D
I just made an improvised piano cover of the song "Stay" by Rihanna... It is one of my fav songs in the moment. I have played the piano since I was 8 years old, but I never learned how to read the notes. So I learned everything by listening and trying out to hit the right chords. The cover wont be perfect in terms of arrangement, tempo or hitting the right notes all the time, but playing the piano is my passion (next to art) and I thought maybe it could inspire some of you! ^^ The cover is 100% improvised and it is not a "melody" cover, but only an arrangement of the chords of the song. I will be leaving dA for two years..Hey my awesome watchers and friends! :hug:
Well, yes, like the title says, I will be leaving dA for two years as of the 18th of April, so in about a week. This is a tough decision, as dA has become an important part of my life, because I am actually trying to build up a living with my art. But you should know, that I am a Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.. :D) and I am 18, close to 19, so I am going on a mission. That means I will be going to the Alpine region (Switzerland, Austria, South-Germany) and talk to the people about what I believe in. You have to know, that this is something I carefully considered and I have a strong belief in God and so I want to share the joy my religion has brought me. The mission will be for two years and I wont have the time to upload any art to dA. My sister =PixieCold will keep you up to date through journals on my page here, so you know what I am doing and how my life is going! :D

Soo.. the day after tomorrow is the day I am leaving for two years.. this is really a tough decision. But I am sure it will develop my personal character so much and I will collect a lot of precious and important experiences. More watcher featuresSurprisingly enough, I've got several new watchers despite being busy and hardly submitting any pictures. While I doubt they came solely for the chance of getting some features, I've prepared a new batch of pictures worth seeing from other people who's decided my work is worth following. So check them out, perhaps theirs is worth it too.



A little bit of suggestion - having looked through several more galleries, pictures could often benefit from the simplest of postprocessing like increasing contrast. Even free photo editors like xnview can do it, automatically even (yep, not the best, but -really- easy). Give it a try, you may be surprised by results.

Next on the list of info. I have finished chapter 4 of Uru's Reign. Meaning I will be heading into chapter 5, which I believe will be the last chapter of Uru's Reign. But I have a question. I have plans for the East Land Pride... Extensive plans. Would you guys rather see an entire chapter dedicated to the Eastland Pride. The final chapter of Uru's Reign to be a mixture of both Eastland Pride stuff and Uru's Reign. Or see what happens in the Eastland Pride in a "story/flashback?" I'll make a poll of it, vote below please.
Also, as I have learned some techniques from the amazing :icondj88: I will be changing up some of the character colors and stuff. So don't be freaked out by that.

I find tutorials most helpful when how/what/why you're doing something is explained
you could do this by either ranting as you draw and record audio as well as video, or record a speed paint then explain later and layer them together

otherwise its just a fun video to watch of someone making something cool youll never get close to

I've never heard of Ecoline water colors. They move so fluently so I thought they were Watercolors at first, but then the color was so bright I thought they were acrylics. Lol

Im not very good at painting, so seeing how you handled paintbrush is certainly an interesting technique. :la:
